Before I started wearing my dental appliance, I was tired all the time, snoring at night, and grinding my teeth so bad I was breaking fillings and wrecking my teeth. I used to fall asleep while I was driving, so I’d eat in the car to stay awake. I tried using CPAP, but I sleep on my stomach, so it just wasn’t working for me.
Dr. Clinton Roberts and his staff at Dreamhaven are very knowledgeable about OAT. I was very impressed with how much they knew about snoring and sleep apnea. They offer several different types of oral devices. All my questions were answered.(...) Thanks Dreamhaven!M.M. - Breezy Point, MN
Ten years ago I was fitted for my first appliance, and at first I only wore once in a while, but then my husband noticed I would stop breathing when I wasn’t wearing it. It took a few days to get used to it, but now I wear my appliance every night and feel so much better in the mornings. The difference really is amazing.
A few months back, my husband was diagnosed with sleep apnea. He was placed on CPAP. It was like Darth Vador in the bedroom. While he tried faithfully to be compliant, he finally gave up using the CPAP. He was tired and irritable all the time.
He was referred by his doctor to Greenhaven Dental for evaluation with an oral sleep appliance. After only a few weeks with the appliance, the change in my husband is amazing! He has more energy and feels great. He laughs and says he dreams pleasant dreams, and remembers them, something that has not happened for years.
It is so quiet in the bedroom that now I can sleep again. By the way, there was also one unexpected side effect: a more vibrant sex life, something we both thought was gone forever. Sleep truly works wonders for all kinds of things.
From the purr of a kitten to the roar of a tiger, my snoring had gotten that bad. I would have never thought that after 24 years of marriage, snoring was going to be the reason for divorce. My doctor had me try a CPAP machine. I was getting less sleep. I hated it. Everything about it. Putting the hose on my face, saying goodnight to the hubby, rolling over and getting out of bed was a chore. I HATED it.
My doctor and I discussed OAT (oral appliance therapy), and that I should look for a dentist educated in OAT for snoring and sleep apnea.

Six months later we are both getting more sleep, and I’m still married. Thanks Greenhaven!
